How it Works
SimpleTire was co-founded by brothers, Andy and Josh Chalofsky, and friend, Kenny Pratt. They shared a common vision to create a company that would offer people the largest selection of tires at the best possible prices, all across the country.
The idea emerged when Andy and Josh were working in their family’s brick and mortar tire business and realized the business could work well in an e-commerce environment. As the market began to shift towards new technologies, it was apparent to them that e-commerce would be the next forefront for the tire industry, and wanted to create a solution that would incorporate private businesses.
In 2012, the trio successfully converted the traditional business model into a technology-driven model, which linked independent tire distributors across the country into one seamless e-commerce network, creating SimpleTire.
Today, SimpleTire’s network stretches across the country with more than 10,000 installation centers and over 3,000 independent supply points. It employs over 100 people and supports thousands of local businesses.
MEET THE TEAM
SimpleTire is made up of tire industry experts, technology entrepreneurs and innovators from different fields.
Andy Chalofsky is the CEO who works with the management team on the direction and execution of the company’s business strategy.
He believes SimpleTire is revolutionizing the tire business. Andy has successfully grown and launched several companies throughout the automotive and related-industries.
Josh Chalofsky is the COO who works with the management team on the execution of the company’s operations and sales.
He believes that the strength of industry relationships is the most important factor in the growth of SimpleTire.
Josh began his career working in the television and media field. He was involved in Media Operations at The Discovery Channel and ran television operations for the NFL.
Kenny Pratt is the CTO working with all team members in the organization to identify and implement on business strategy from a technical perspective.
He believes that incremental and rapid technology solutions can change the world; or at least provide a means to transform the tire industry.
CJ Das is the CIO who works with the IT team to manage the eCommerce platform.
CJ believes that we live in a world that is being transformed by technology, but with this power to change lives comes the responsibility.
He was awarded the CIO100 honoree of 2017 and has been Advisor to Gartner’s AADI (Applications Architecture, Design and Integration) group.
David Boyne is the CFO who works with the management team on interpreting the financial results and implications of long management decisions.
Dave believes in tight fiscal controls and that the finance/accounting team’s responsibility is to support all departments in accomplishing their objectives.
He believes it is important to give back to the community and society in general and has served as an elected official for 10 years.
Kevin Burke is responsible for Marketing & eCommerce. He strives to understand customer needs, develop marketing programs that engage tire shoppers and create a world-class online shopping experience.
He believes that customer-centric innovation mixed with creativity produce the best results for businesses and their customers.
Kevin is an experienced entrepreneur as well as having had the opportunity to work closely with premier brands such as Disney, P&G, eHarmony, Meridian Health, Boiron, EA, Aol and others.
Thomas Ganey is the VP of Sales who works with the sales team to ensure customers get the right tires for their needs and at a great price.
Thomas believes that customer service is the most important factor in SimpleTire’s success.
